Solid Waste Management - Waste to Energy

The principals and staff of CMA Engineers have thirty solid years of experience in the implementation of waste to energy facilities, including
project planning, siting, permitting, design-build and design-build-own-operate contract formulation and negotiation, design-build
management of facility and air pollution control retrofit construction projects, annual facility contract reconciliations, contract extension
negotiations, and formation and management of regional public entities.
CMA Engineers has experience in the utilization of ash from waste to energy facilities, having coordinated a major research effort funded

in part by the USEPA and the Federal Highway Administration to utilize waste to energy bottom ash as a partial aggregate substitute in
asphalt used to reconstruct a portion of US Route 3 in Laconia, NH. The results of this extensive investigation were reported at
environmental engineering conferences in the US and Europe.
